The Fifth Voyage Of Sinbad
Giant birds broke Sinbad’s ship and the tides carried Sinbad to a beautiful island where he was enslaved by an old man-monster who sat on his shoulders (Shaykh al-Bahr, old man of the sea). Eventually Sinbad got the old man drunk on coconut wine and killed him. A new ship came ashore and rescued Sinbad. Sinbad’s rescuers taught him how to pelt monkeys with pebbles so that the monkeys would throw coconuts at him. Sinbad gather coconuts and traded them for cloves and cinnamon along his way home.
